ABSTRACT
This activity is designed to help staff reflect upon their own travels, their potential for contributing to geographical education in the school, and on the accuracy of knowledge gleaned in this way. It is ideal for an autumn term ‘one-off’ staff meeting, when summer holidays are fresh in people’s minds. You will need a large empty notice board, some paper, felt pens and drawing pins. Ask each staff member to bring along one photograph or poster relating to his or her holiday travels – of a location abroad or in the UK.
