ABSTRACT
Spain has undergone a process of restructuring in the 1990s which has compared favourably with the rest of its European partners. The country’s economic policies in the 1990s have focused primarily on the following main areas:
• labour market reform; • reduction of the fiscal deficit; • structural reforms within the service sector; • structural reforms within the public sector.
