The selection of the most suitable system of corrosion protection for a specific situation is not necessarily a simple matter. Many factors may be involved in the selection process and the final choice may well be a compromise. In particular the following information must be considered:
(i) The conditions that have to be resisted by the chosen system, e.g. immersed sea conditions.
