ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at the environmental impacts of the main fencing products available on the market, covering wood, steel, iron, concrete, aluminium and PVC fencing. Timber preservatives, used on wooden fences, are covered briefly. More detail can be found in Volume 1 of the Green Building Handbook.
