ABSTRACT

Description: Comvax is a bivalent vaccine that contains antigenic components derived from two already marketed vaccines: Pedvax HIB (hemophilus b conjugate vaccine) and Recombivax HB (recombinant hepatitis B vaccine). The components are the Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) capsular polysaccharide (PRP) covalently bound to an outer membrane protein complex of Neisseria meningitidis (OMPC) and recombinant hepatitis B surface antigen (rHBsAg). The product is generally supplied in a box containing 10 single-dose (0.5 ml) vaccine vials and is administered intramuscularly.
