ABSTRACT

Description: Enbrel is a recombinant fusion protein consisting of the extracellular (ligandbinding portion) of the human tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor (p75) and the Fc portion of an IgG antibody. It binds TNF and inhibits the TNF-mediated inflammation process. It is produced by recombinant DNA technology in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells. The final product is supplied in a lyophilized form (25 mg active ingredient per vial) for reconstitution before subcutaneous injection.
