ABSTRACT
Description: Humulin is a recombinant human insulin produced in Escherichia coli using recombinant DNA technology. It is provided in different formulations with different onsets and durations of activity: Humulin R (regular), Humulin N (NPH; isophane), Humulin L (Lente), Humulin U (UltraLente), Humulin 50/50, and Humulin 70/30. Humulin N and Humulin 70/ 30 are available with the multidose Humulin Pen.
