ABSTRACT

Description: Anakinra is a recombinant form of the human interleukin-1 receptor antagonist. The 17.3-kDa, 153-amino acid single chain polypeptide differs from the native molecule only in containing an additional N-terminal methionine residue. It is produced by recombinant DNA technology in Escherichia coli cells and is provided as a solution (containing 100 mg product in a volume of 0.67 ml) for subcutaneous injection.
