ABSTRACT

Description: Regranex is a recombinant human platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF). It is a homodimer. Each 109-amino acid, glycosylated polypeptide is aligned in an antiparallel fashion relative to the other. They are held in position by two interchain disulphide bonds, yielding the 24.5-kDa mature molecule. Regranex is produced by recombinant DNA technology in the yeast Saccharomyces cereυisiae. The product is presented in a gel formulation containing 0.1% active ingredient for external topical use.
