ABSTRACT

Books, 1986 Incest emerged as an important women’s issue in the 1970s, and since then published contributions have been diverse. McNARON and MORGAN provide a collection of writings by incest survivors, which produce feminist challenges to conservative political analyses and an important validation of the experiences and strength of many women and children. This work is often particularly powerful due to its emphasis on personal stories and the use of genres such as poetry. Other similar collections have also appeared.
