ABSTRACT

British Queen Hardie, Frank, The Political Influence of Queen Victoria, London: Cass, 1935; New York: Oxford

Unwin, 1987 Queen Victoria was England’s longest-ruling monarch and, as such, has sparked a wealth of volumes that cover items from her personal life to her governing style. There are many works from the time of Victoria herself, but they may not be available widely to readers; further, they show a Victorian interpretation of the subject. This list, therefore, contains recent works on the queen, in an attempt to cull the best from more available and possibly more objective perspectives.
