ABSTRACT
Logistics and engineering application are among the most important and at the same time most overlooked functions of geologic remote sensing. Many engineers, trained to be conservative in their approach to problem solving, are either unaware of the capabilities of remote sensing technology, or are hesitant to use new, often untried techniques for mapping and measuring environmental factors. This chapter will review some of the applications that have been used successfully by corporate engineering groups.
