ABSTRACT
The development and advances in maxillofacial prosthetics have mirrored those in reconstructive surgery. Decisions often revolve around the choice of the best treatment option; whether prosthetic or surgical reconstruction. This is particularly true in cancer surgery. Other subdisciplines within maxillofacial surgery may benefit from liaison with the technician.
