ABSTRACT
The process of evolution from single cells to complex creatures such as mammals, people, and the whole rich spectrum of species, could hardly have occurred solely through random mutations, sexual selection, genetic drift and other evolutionary self-sustenance. Its primary mechanism has been adaptation through natural selection in a dynamic environment.
