Assessing group learning is one of the most difficult tasks to do well. This is at least partly because there are two dimensions to group work, either or both of which may be involved in assessment: the product of the group work, and the processes that contributed to its development. However, the most important single issue is often the tricky matter of establishing the levels of contribution of respective members to both product and process alike.
