There is little precise information about the pre-Christian religions in Ireland, although such massive passage tombs as Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth at Brú na Bóinne on the Boyne, built by the Neolithic inhabitants in around 3200 BC, almost certainly testify to a widespread devotion to their gods (IV).
