ABSTRACT

Projects are selected and performed because of their inherent business value. Therefore, barring any business decision to terminate a project, every project warrants the opportunity to succeed. In most business environments, a project is expected, if not mandated, to succeed. However, there may be times when project success will seem fleeting, and corrective actions beyond the routine are needed to return the project to a path toward success. The rigor and formalities of an effective project recovery process is a recognized approach to turn around straying and troubled projects.
