ABSTRACT

What meaning and value do anniversaries have in our lives? What value might memory have in the process of searching for identity and future? These are two of the many questions we posed when we began reflecting on the meaning which celebrating 40 years of experience in Reggio municipal schools might assume in today’s context. We stopped to think about the meaning of the verb ‘celebrate’, a verb which we feel is inadequate to represent our intention of looking to the future with the responsibility of the past.
