ABSTRACT

Robert Paul Churchill is Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and Professor of Philosophy, Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, George Washington University. His research interests include social and political philosophy, philosophical psychology, and nonviolence. He has written or edited books on logic and liberal democracy, and he is presently completing a monograph on human rights. He has published articles on a wide range of topics including pacifism, tolerance, crimes against humanity, just war theory, and the philosophical and strategic bases of nonviolent social change.
