ABSTRACT
We have reached the end of our journey. We have journeyed through the history of computing and the history of the Grid. We have defined the components, the users (including the users who are already using the Grid), and the drivers that are involved in driving the decisions that those who have implemented them have made. We have defined databases and addressed not only how data is being dealt with in the current Grids, but ways in which databases can be extended to be used in the Grids in the coming decade.
