ABSTRACT
How is the peace of the Church mediated to and established in the entire human community? I still believe that the answer is ‘socialism’, an originally mainly Christian concept, arising first in France and Britain and then Germany, later appropriated by German atheists, with the unfortunate consequence that the Church then pursued in reaction to this development unfortunate hybrids of the Christian socialist legacy with market liberalism and traditionalist reaction.
