ABSTRACT
Sherry was a mature and competent professional who entered the psychiatric nursing profession with enthusiasm and career aspirations. On her drive to work, Sherry reminisced about her academic training and the thrill of her first job. With seniority and increased responsibilities, however, Sherry’s view of work and life began to gradually change.
