ABSTRACT
It is not the intention, in this and the following chapter, to deal with every
aspect of earth building in great detail, nor to provide a comprehensive step-
by-step building manual, but to describe and illustrate general principles, and
to focus on earth wall construction in the context of contemporary building
practice and the need to comply generally with Building Regulations. Only in
cases where certain building elements need to be modified or adapted to suit
earth wall construction will they be mentioned.
