ABSTRACT
Management is about organization and vision. A manager takes a long-term view, seeking to improve the overall efficiency of the organization, taking into account changes in customer/patient demands, financing, politics and technology. Good managers do not demand constant upheaval, but try to ensure that their organization remains innovative. Effective management reduces confrontation by good communication, although there will be occasions when change requires confrontation because of the inertia of established systems.
