ABSTRACT
A number of extracolonic manifestations occur and are also believed to be due to the single gene defect. They may present before the diagnosis of FAP is made, and their presence in a child should raise the suspicion of FAP. They include:
• Osteomas. These benign tumours may occur in any bone, but are most common in the mandible, where they are commonly associated with dental abnormalities.
