ABSTRACT
Selective mesenteric angiography is a valuable investigation if the bleeding rate exceeds 0.5 ml/min. It is, however, technically demanding and ideally should only be performed by experienced radiologists, as prolonged procedures may delay adequate resuscitation and definitive treatment.
