ABSTRACT
Laws regarding children are of particular importance in issues of child protection, but they may also concern aspects of education, adoption, child safety and consent. The most significant piece of legislation in recent years has been the Children Act 1989, a wide-reaching reform of many previous acts of parliament regarding children, and of related court procedures.
