ABSTRACT
As researchers into popular music, culture and gender are all too aware, it is often difficult to keep abreast of the range of texts that are currently emerging from such publishers as Routledge. One way of keeping up to date is to survey the relevant catalogues – Cultural Studies, Popular Music, Communications, Gender. Another is to read the reviews in such established journals as Popular Music, Feminist Review, Cultural Studies, Screen, etc. Essay reviews are particularly useful as they contain an overview relevant to the specialist discipline.
