ABSTRACT
This chapter sets out possibilities for work on algebra within the context of growth and decay. In Chapter 7, mathemacy was defined in the following terms, as being:
a radical construct … rooted in the spirit of critique and the project of possibility that enables people to participate in the understanding and transformation of society.
