ABSTRACT

Didaktik is primarily, and certainly in everyday terms, the study of teaching and learning, the study of instruction. But instruction is more than simply the interaction of teaching and learning. It encompasses widely differing factors in complex interrelationships. Didaktik subjects everything that hap pens in instruction to its observation. We call the structured context within which the growing generation is taught and knowledge is handed down the order of teaching (Lehrgefüge). 1
