ABSTRACT

The conditions of the psychoanalytic experience Since separation anxiety occurs in connection with discontinuities in the analytic encounter, it is evident that interpreting it is insufficient for its resolution, but that it is also essential to provide the analysand with a situation and setting in which the psychoanalytic process can take place in the best possible conditions. A satisfactory transference experience calls for particular conditions, which are afforded principally by the establishment and active maintenance of certain constants.
