ABSTRACT

First of all I must say that I have to generalise a great deal in this report and that these generalisations should not be taken as applying to every conscript. They merely give the broad impression I have received from the contacts I have made in the few months I have been in the RAF. These impressions may not be typical. I imagine, for instance, that on the whole a more intelligent type gets into the RAF than in the Army or even the Navy. I have compared notes, however, with a friend in the Navy who is also a Mass-Observer and his impressions have been much the same as mine.
