It is clearly essential that I commence here by providing some descriptive statistics about the people who actually took part in these experiments-and to take this opportunity to thank them for consenting to participate. The London Block study was particularly demanding as it required about three hours to obtain all the necessary data. The Cambridge Block booklet was also quite challenging.
