USING ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT PROCEDURES FOR MORE SPECIFIC INVESTIGATIONS

The first three chapters of this part about practice have described the development of a conceptual framework for assessment, preparation for assessment, and a procedure for a family interview with an accompanying rating scale which gives a broad overview of the problems. This chapter deals with the use of more specific assessment methods which can help to:

• investigate particular problems • clarify particular viewpoints, especially that of the child • allow comparisons to normal scores and the evaluation of change.
