ABSTRACT
On eschatology. According to my Webster’s Dictionary (1984), eschatology refers to ‘a branch of theology concerned with the final events in the history of the world or of mankind’ (p. 424). Some theologians entertain the apocalyptic vision that this end of the world will occur in a great Armageddon-that is, a battle between the forces of good and evil or a cataclysm involving ‘a momentous and violent event marked by overwhelming upheaval and demolition’ (p. 213).
