ABSTRACT

I have now shown you how to use the DRF-2. This lengthy form helps you to analyse a situation in which you disturbed yourself. In particular, it helps you to identify your major unhealthy emotion and self-defeating behaviour, what you were most disturbed about, the irrational beliefs that underpinned your disturbed reactions and their healthy alternatives. It further helps you to set goals, question the beliefs that are at the core of your problem and deal with any obstacles to a healthier response that may exist. Finally, it helps you to act on your new healthy belief and to get into the right frame of mind to identify and challenge any distorted inferences you may have made in the first place. In short, the DRF-2 is a comprehensive approach to emotional problem solving.
