ABSTRACT

In this chapter, I am going to outline some of the major principles of REBT practice. In doing so I am writing primarily for those of you who are using this workbook on your own as a self-help guide, and thus, I will concentrate on the nature of ‘workbook-delivered’ REBT and the tasks that it calls upon you to perform. I will then write more generally about ‘therapist-delivered’ REBT, filling in some of the blanks about the practice of REBT that I haven’t discussed in the former section. In addition, those of you who are consulting an REBT practitioner should preferably discuss the nature of ‘therapist-delivered’ REBT with your therapist.
