ABSTRACT
One of the major challenges confronting depth psychology today is formulating a theoretical understanding of how archetypes relate to biology, culture and language. This is no small task. Each one of these complicated areas of study is a challenge. Formulating how they interact over time in the development of human nature is even more challenging. This essay will explore the evolutionary process through which archetypal components of human nature emerge out of the interaction of biology with language and culture.1
