Roma Interrotta

Roma Interrotta was the title of an Exhibition held in Rome in 1978. Michael Graves (1979) traces its origins to a discussion with Piero Sartogo who had been asked to propose the theme for an Exhibition of Urbanism, to be held in Rome (IIA, 1978). They looked at the various historic plans of Rome, published by Frutaz, and decided that, of these, the most interesting by far was one by Nolli (Fig. 10.1).
