Achievement of quality through management

The contribution, in general, of standards to the achievement of faultless building was examined in Chapter 4. Their application in different management processes, including design and construction management, is discussed in this chapter. As background to the application of quality systems, there is first a description of how quality standards and quality assurance came about in the UK.
