ABSTRACT

This paper presents an analytical study about the stratification problem of uses in relation to monetary quantification induced by ‘complex’ environmental resources. This type of resource entails not only a recreational function, but also associate environmental, cultural and architectural values which may modify individual consumption of goods. More specifically, the paper presents the results of four applications of CVM (‘contingent valuation method’) using discrete choice models with referendum data deduced from about 2,300 interviews.
