ABSTRACT

Students enter to the sounds of “Little Red Riding Hood,” by Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs. Projected onto the screen is a slide of Puberty, Edward Munch's 1895 painting of a frightened, unclothed, adolescent female. By the time the song is over, most or all of the students have arrived. The lights go up. I welcome the students to the class, and then guide the following discussion.

Lets make a list of ten famous figures from history. I'll write the names as you call them out

George Washington. Plato. Jesus. Einstein. John Kennedy. Adolf Hitler. Clara Barton. Julius Caesar. Elvis Presley. William Shakespeare.
