ABSTRACT

Although not every genre of dance music features a vocal track, a proportionate amount of dance tracks do, even if these are little more than heavily processed vocal snippets such as in Techno, Minimal or Tech House. Whilst these snippets could be assembled from sample CDs or perhaps even sampled from other records, it is simply no substitute for recording your own. Not only does this approach avoid any potential copyright issues, it also permits the producers to record vocals exactly to their requirements and therefore it is benefi cial to learn how to record them profi ciently.
