ABSTRACT
It’s fair to assume that dance music would be nowhere if it was not for the innumerable DJs spinning the music and keeping us all up on the fl oor. With this in mind, it seems that there is no better way to close the book than to interview a DJ and get her perspective and advice on DJing. For this, I asked Dakova Dae to submit a chapter for the book. Dakova is an Australian-based DJ and producer who has DJed alongside some of the biggest names in dance music. She has won numerous competitions for her DJ skills and currently holds a residency at one of Australia’s largest venues; Family Nightclub in Brisbane.
