ABSTRACT
The knowledges possessed by different groups inside and outside the organization play a key role in design activity. Earlier, we described how design activity is to a large extent a matter of assembling together the knowledges developed by different groups. Specifically, it entails bringing together new knowledge with knowledge of an existing technology process.
