ABSTRACT
Computer-based workstations, either those based on picture editing with a sound component or those specifically designed for audio editing called digital audio workstations (DAWs), have revolutionized sound editing for movies and videos over the last two decades. There are several differences between analog and digital approaches that make the productivity of digital audio editing much higher compared to razor-blade editing of audio tape or film.
