ABSTRACT
The development of concrete face rockfill dams (CFRD) has been described by Galloway (1939), Regan (1997), ICOLD (1989a), Cooke (1984, 1993, 1999, 2000), and Cruz et al. (2009). This is closely linked to developments in compaction of rockfill in dams as summarized in Table 15.1.
