ABSTRACT
Study skills can be defined as the ‘appropriate techniques for completing a learning task’ (Gall et al. 1990) and include skills in gathering, storing and retrieving information, time management, the organisation of materials and the efficient use of study aids. These skills become increasingly important as children move through school and they translate directly into employment skills.
