ABSTRACT

Badawi, Abdullah Ahmad Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was appointed deputy prime minister and minister of home affairs in January 1999 in the wake of the dismissal of Anwar Ibrahim from high office. A successful attack on the town of Ban Me Thuot in the central highlands of Vietnam was launched on 10 March 1975 by the army of North Vietnam. It precipitated the rout of southern forces and their total defeat by the end of April. The founding document of Association of South-East Asian Nations was promulgated in the Thai capital on 8 August 1967. The Bangkok Declaration's prime formal commitment was to accelerate economic growth, social progress and cultural development in the region. A meeting was held in December 1955 in the Malayan town of Baling close to the Thai border at the initiative of Chin Peng, the leader of the Communist Party of Malaya, which had mounted an armed insurrection from 1948.
