The training process—second phase

The parameters of confidentiality should be made explicit, for example, through drafting an agreed ethics statement (see final section of Chapter 2). Some staff may also be involved in data collection and therefore it is important to clarify exactly what information is to be collected, also how, by whom and when. Particular care should be paid to any data collection involving students, since the responses given depend significantly on the way in which questions are posed. A case study describing how one school dealt with these issues is provided in Chapter 7.
